In the heart of the Aosta Valley, at an altitude of over 1,400 metres, La Thuile hosted a round of the Downhill World Cup for the first time at the weekend of 4 July. With a mix of dust and dry terrain, the riders were put through their paces.
In particularly challenging conditions, the Continental Atherton Racing team once again delivered two fine performances against the world’s downhill elite.
In the junior category, Malik Boatwright continued his impressive form with a 2nd place. Malik has once again demonstrated his excellence. Another podium finish brings him a little closer to victory with every race.
Luke Wayman put in a solid performance, securing a 14th place against formidable competition. He has once again demonstrated his ability to compete at the very highest level on the most technical terrain.
