Categories
ASO has published the route of the 6th Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, nine stages from 30 July to 7 August 2027, from Leeds to the Puy de Dôme, a race the St Michel Preference Home Auber93 team rode in 2026 on Comete 50 carbon road wheels, an aero pair with a 50 mm rim depth. The Grand Départ takes place in England, with three stages between Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and London, before the race enters France on stage 4, for a total of 1,156 km before homologation and 17,665 m of elevation gain. Four course types follow one another, from the flat to the mountains; the Comete wheels cover mountain routes as well as fast routes, depending on the rim depth chosen.
The 9 Tour de France Femmes 2027 stages and their elevation gain
The 9 stages of the Tour de France Femmes 2027 link Leeds to the Puy de Dôme across two countries, the United Kingdom (England) and France. The riders will climb the passes of two ranges, the Pennines in England and the Massif central in France. The first three stages cross six English counties; from its entry into France, on stage 4, the race crosses eleven départements spread over six regions.

Comete 50 and Cosmic SLR 45 wheels at the Tour de France Femmes
The Comete 50 carbon road wheels and the Cosmic SLR 45 carbon road wheels accompanied the St Michel Preference Home Auber93 team on the 2026 Tour de France Femmes, over nine days and 1,174.7 kilometres, from the speed of the opening stages to the slopes of Mont Ventoux.
The Comete 50 pair weighs 1,315 g, 600 g at the front and 715 g at the rear, on 23 mm of internal rim width and carbon spokes. The Cosmic SLR 45 pair weighs 1,480 g, 675 g at the front and 805 g at the rear, for the same 23 mm internal width, with 24 flat butted stainless steel spokes crossed two-by-two and an Infinity hub.
Within the St Michel Auber93 cycling team, seven riders started this 2026 edition. Émilie Morier finished 19th in the general classification, after her 25th place in 2025, with a 15th place at the summit of Mont Ventoux. Solène Muller, 22, took 34th place in the general classification on her first participation, and third position at the summit of the col de la Savine. Caroline Wreszin finished 111th in the general classification.
Comete rim depths and the stage types of the 2027 route
The rim depths of the Comete range run from 45 mm to 85 mm, spread over four pairs of carbon road wheels.
Four stages are classified Flat by the organiser. The Comete 50 carbon road wheels are designed for cyclists looking for a single pair able to ride fast on the flat, stay responsive on the climbs and hold a precise line at high speed.
Two stages are classified Hilly and two Mountain. The Comete 45/55 carbon road wheels combine a 45 mm depth at the front with 55 mm at the rear, 1,350 g per pair, around a 25 mm Aero Wide rim optimised for 30 mm tyres. They are the ideal choice for mountainous routes and heavy elevation gain, where long climbs, technical descents and changes of pace call for a light, agile pair: the shallower front rim reduces sensitivity to crosswinds, the deeper rear rim maintains rolling speed.

The Comete 55/65 carbon road wheels run 55 mm at the front and 65 mm at the rear for 1,390 g per pair. This configuration reveals its full potential on fast, rolling routes, where elevation gain generally stays below 1,500 metres per ride.

Stage 3 is an 18 km team time trial laid out in the streets of London. The Comete 85 carbon road wheels, 85 mm of rim depth and 1,750 g per pair, were developed as time trial and triathlon wheels, with the Comete Road Disc carbon rear wheel completing them. Heïdi Gaugain won the C5 category individual time trial on this set-up at the Para-cycling World Championships, from 4 to 7 September 2026 in Huntsville.
The Comete range: rim depths, weights and prices
The Mavic carbon road wheels of the Comete range are first set apart by their rim depth. The Comete 50, Comete 45/55, Comete 55/65 and Comete 85 carbon road wheels are all listed at €2,499.00, for respective weights of 1,315 g, 1,350 g, 1,390 g and 1,750 g per pair.
The Comete 45/55 and 55/65 aero wheels receive Aero Spokes carbon spokes, which cut rotational drag by 18% compared with conventional flat carbon spokes, or 1.1 W at 50 km/h. The Comete Road Disc carbon rear wheel, 965 g and an asymmetric profile, is offered at €2,599.00, and the Cosmic SLR 45 carbon road wheel pair at €1,999.00.
The wheels and hubs are made and assembled in our factory in Europe. To choose, start from your own riding and from the terrain of your usual rides, not from the profile of a race stage.
