
First round of the French MTB Cup in Marseille
This weekend saw the first round of the French MTB Cup in Marseille, which resembled a World Cup round with all the best teams in the world coming together. For their first race under their new name, the Rockrider Ford Racing Team performed very well. On the girls' side, all the girls finished in the Top 10, with Savilia BLUNK on the last step of the podium (3rd) followed closely by Emeline DUTILLEUX (4th). Greta SEIWALD finished in a nice 7th place and finally in the U23 category, Olivia ONESTI finished on the podium, 3rd. For the Lapierre Mavic Unity Team, Malene DEGN just enters the Top 10 and Annie LAST finishes 14th.
In the Men's category, Thomas GRIOT equipped with Ultimate XC shoes achieved his first podium of the season by being 3rd. Frenchman Maxime MAROTTE was 7th and Joshua DUBAU 9th. Lapierre Mavic Unity had two riders in the Top15 with Thomas LITSCHER 11th and Sebastian FINI 14th.
At the same Coupe de France but in the younger category, Marta CANO (PMG Racing Team) won the Junior Women race and Fransesc BARBER was 3rd in the U23 category.
In the KTM Kamptal Trophy, two riders represented the Mavic brand, each achieving a podium. Jitka CABELICKA (Women) took 3rd place and Ondrej CINK (PMG Racing Team) 2nd.
No less than 6 athletes finished on the podium and 11 in the Top 10. All of them are equipped with Mavic Crossmax SL Ultimate 25 & 30 wheels and Ultimate XC shoes.
