Garmin-Cervélo tops USA Pro Cycling Challenge

Showing great strength in the mountains, the Garmin-Cervélo team secured first place over all the teams in the first-ever USA Pro Cycling Challenge. This race traversed some of the highest mountain roads ever climbed in a bicycle race. With top climbers Christian Vande Velde and Tom Danielson, the team showed depth and experience to capture the top team prize.
In front of huge crowds in Denver, Christian Vande Velde finished just 11 seconds behind first overall, taking second place, and Tom Danielson was fourth overall. Teammate Danny Summerhill took a fine fourth place in the sprint on the final stage. The week of racing proved to be popular among US racing fans and it was a great success for Garmin-Cervélo.
