Brilliant results in London

Riders using Mavic wheels and footwear achieved great results in London. On the track, on the road, on the trail, and in triathlon, Mavic athletes proved to be at the top of their class.

Track riders had especially good performances. In fact, 90% of the medals available were won by riders on Mavic equipment, including 9 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze. Great Britain lead the medal count with 9, followed by Australia with 5, and China, Germany, and France each with 3. New Zealand, the USA, and Canada also had riders on Mavic and scored medals.

The mountain bike race at Hadleigh Park was fast and exciting. Georgia Gould of the Luna Chix team took bronze, as did Marco Aurelio Fontana of the Cannondale Factory Racing team. Both of these athletes used Crossmax SLR 29er wheels and Fury shoes.

In Triathlon, the Brownlee brothers Alistair and Jonathan of Great Britain came first and third, respectively. Both use Tri Helium shoes. In the women’s race, Swiss athlete Nicola Spirig won a gold medal, and like her, Erin Densham rode Cosmic Carbone Ultimate wheels and Tri Helium shoes to win the bronze medal.
